| GuitarClassical Guitar MIDI Archives - This huge collection of MIDI files for guitar owned by Francois Faucher offers "2222 MIDI files from 135 composers". New MIDI sequences are added twice a week; original submissions of high quality are welcomed. This site exists primarily to showcase pieces written for the classical guitar, but also has well-known arrangements and transcriptions. Site includes information on the creation of MIDI files and a tutorial on the tablature system. There are original pieces here by Mr. Faucher, the site owner; the site includes pieces for one or more guitars. Truly a must see for the classical guitarist. Classical Guitar Archives - The arrangements and transcription on this page are by classical guitarist and composer Jorge Guillen. The selection of guitar music is organized into solos, duets, trios, and quartets. Music for 2 Guitars - Manuel Ferre has sequenced a variety of two guitar pieces for this page, which are arranged by composer. Fingerstyle Guitar MIDI Collection - "All the TAB and MIDI music here is exclusively Fingerstyle Guitar. There is a wide variety of musical styles represented here. You're bound to find something of interest." There are 8 pages of MIDI and tab files available on this site. On this opening page, the various pages are listed as you scroll down, along with the main "grouping" of music on that page. The MIDI files are easily downloaded by clicking on the song name. There are pdf files of the tablature available for most of the songs, which you can get by clicking the "pdf" text next to the song title. You can use Notation Musician to see the score, and use the pdf of the tab to help you with the fingering. There are many levels - from beginner to advanced - of guitar pieces available here. This site is an excellent fingerstyle resource. Classical Guitar Tablature - This large collection contains over 900 classical guitar tabs in plain text format, many of them with MIDI files as well. There are resources to help with reading the tablature, as well as links to other sites with other guitar styles. You can download the MIDI files (and .txt tablature files) simply by clicking the filename. Or, you can download the entire site as a .zip file. The works are done by various contributors, and are alphabetized by last name of the composer. Sarge Gerbode's Lute Page - This well-organized site has almost 2000 pieces for lute in several different formats. Click on the word "Here" in the first paragraph of text to reach an index by composer names. After clicking on a composer, you will need to find the MIDI files among the other formats given. Also, notice the "Lute Ensemble" section listed alphabetically among the composers. Flamenco Guitar Midi Files - A large number of guitar pieces make up this site by Manuel Ferre. The works are arranged by composer and you will have to scroll down this long page to be sure that you don't miss any of the files. English Lute Songs - An extensive collection of early English lute music. The collections are listed on this first page. When you click a collection, the center facsimile will change to reflect the collection you've chosen. Then you can select from "The Book", "song texts" or "MIDI" links just below the facsimile. Selecting the "MIDI" link which will take you to a page of .mid (MIDI) files for the collection you've selected. Then, click on the song title to download the MIDI file. Please note that all links in this directory (except the Samples and some Bass Practice files) go to other websites. While I try to make sure that these are safe sites, I cannot guarantee them.
